Bradford Woodworkers Ltd

Bradford Woodworkers Ltd was started in 1982 by Mac Price and Jonny Buck. The company has a small workforce of 7 joiners and cabinet makers, including 2 apprentices. The workshop is located in an old 19th Century stable block that belonged to the adjacent hotel. The company specialises in bespoke joinery and woodwork, including period doors and windows, oak staircases, Georgian, Victorian and modern shopfronts, and retail and commercial interiors.

Sash window work sits at the centre of what this Bradford woodworking firm does, according to the accounts left by those who have used it. Customers describe the repair and restoration of existing sash windows, including the replacement of cords, attention to casing timber and careful balancing so that frames open and close more smoothly than before. The same specialists are said to have supplied and installed new heritage sash windows, with one customer noting that the removal of the old units and fitting of the replacements was completed in a single morning, and that the finished frames were painted before installation to match existing joinery.

A countertop is also mentioned among the bespoke pieces produced. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the standard of craftsmanship, the neatness of the finished work and the condition in which properties were left, with one describing the house as spotless afterwards. Praise for communication features strongly, particularly the willingness to answer questions without hesitation and to provide honest guidance from the outset, and the aftercare that followed completion is described in warm terms. Andy is named by several customers, who refer to the team as accommodating when arranging dates and pleasant to deal with throughout.
