Privacy policy

Cookies and how ads work here findmycarpenter.co.uk, run by Find My Carpenter, may use cookies both to see how the site is used and to help serve advertising. Some advertising partners we work with, which can include Google, use cookies to show adverts based on visitors' interests. You can manage or switch off this kind of personalised advertising at myadcenter.google.com.

What data reaches our servers We don't have any sign-up process on this site, so we're not actively gathering your personal details. What does happen, automatically, is that your browser sends routine technical information to our servers as you browse — your IP address, browser type and the pages you view — and this ends up in our standard server logs.

Carpenters, joiners and kitchen fitters on our site The carpenters & joiners, kitchen fitters and bespoke furniture makers listed here, together with their ratings and customer reviews, are sourced from publicly available Google Maps business listings rather than submitted by the tradespeople directly. Anyone running such a business who would like their listing corrected or removed can email us and we will action it.

Your rights under data protection law As this is a UK-based site, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 apply, giving you rights to access, correct and erase personal data we may hold about you, as well as to object to its processing. You can also raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how a request was handled.

Third-party links This site contains links to the individual websites of listed tradespeople and to Google Maps. We have no responsibility for the privacy practices of any site you reach through those links.
