GW Joiners

G.Watson Joiners is a bespoke and affordable joinery company with over 50 years of combined experience. It is based in Giffnock, where it operates a workshop, and serves Southside Glasgow, East Renfrewshire and Central Scotland. The company specialises in internal doors, external doors, windows and glazing, and supplies and fits doors.

It offers a price match promise against written quotes, multi-door discounts and free no-obligation quotations. Its workmanship meets national standards for home security, and it describes itself as Glasgow's Storm Door Specialists. Garry, Frank and Luke carried out joinery work for a customer.

Joinery work carried out by GW Joiners in Glasgow covers wooden double glazed windows installed throughout a house and kitchen fitting, and reviewers repeatedly highlight the standard of the finished result and the quality of workmanship on completed projects. One thing mentioned again and again is the professionalism and helpfulness of the team, including at the assessment stage, where one account describes the person who surveyed the job as listening carefully and avoiding any push towards options beyond the customer's stated budget. Speed features in the feedback as well, with quick turnaround times noted and fitters completing installations efficiently once items such as doors had been delivered.

The approachable manner of staff and a follow-up call after completion to confirm satisfaction also attract praise. Set against these strengths, a number of accounts describe difficulties with communication and reliability: calls that were not returned, appointments that were not kept and a door order that was rearranged several times before being refunded, with response times and pricing questioned. The feedback therefore reflects capable workmanship on finished jobs alongside recurring problems with responsiveness and attendance for some prospective customers.
