Joinery Point

Joinery Point is a carpentry and joinery business based in Cardiff, UK. It specialises in handcrafted and traditionally made doors, windows and gates, and describes itself as heritage and conservation joiners. Its services include bespoke traditional doors, box sash and casement windows, and path, pedestrian and double gates.

The company offers custom-made doors and windows, solid timber joinery, and restoration and reproduction. Every project is prepared with accurate measurements and drawings. Framed doors are constructed using mortise and tenon joinery. Products are made from solid hardwood Sapele, Mahogany, Oak and Iroko, and finished with Dulux Flexi Undercoat and Paint. The contact name is Lewis Ford.

Gates are the recurring subject of feedback for this Cardiff joiner, with several customers describing side gates, garden gates and trellis built and fitted to a high standard. Lewis is the craftsman named most often, and reviewers often mention his prompt replies, his helpfulness when choosing a design, and the ease of dealing with him from first enquiry to finished installation. Hardwood construction, traditional methods and a natural stain finish are noted, along with sturdy work that opens and locks from either side.

Praise also covers scarfing rotten window sills, where hardworking and honest workmanship is singled out. A point that comes up often is the balance of reasonable cost against quality, with materials described as top grade and no corners cut. Punctuality features too, including one urgent same-day request that was answered outside normal hours and completed ahead of schedule. Customers mention that the work matched what had been agreed and was finished without fuss, and the attention to detail on the finished gates is a theme that runs through the accounts, as is Lewis's friendly and professional manner throughout.
