APL Joinery

APL Joinery, Carpenters & joiners is based in Salford and provides joinery services across Manchester and surrounding areas. The company has over 20 years' experience in joinery and has worked across the UK as well as internationally in Canada and Australia. Allan is the named owner and founder.

It specialises in kitchens, bespoke storage and made-to-measure solutions for the home, and works with homeowners, architects, builders and commercial clients. Its main services include bespoke joinery, fitted furniture, kitchens, doors, flooring and general carpentry.

Householders across Manchester have hired APL Joinery for projects that range from a media centre shaped to fit an alcove, through a timber frame with composite decking in a garden, to a complete kitchen, storage tucked beneath a staircase, and door and frame replacements. The recurring theme in their accounts is the standard of the finished result, with fitting described as precise, careful and thoroughly checked before completion. Allan Lamb is named repeatedly as the craftsman behind the work, and reviewers credit him with a methodical approach that leaves nothing rushed, together with an eye for fine detail that shows in the final finish.

Reliability and trustworthiness come up often, as does his readiness to talk a project through and consider the options available before starting. Communication while work is under way is mentioned as a strength, and the same patience and calm manner is noted on both small and larger tasks. Charges are viewed as sensible for the quality delivered, and more than one client has returned with further jobs, including handle and lock fitting.
