When we were considering which company to build our furniture and bring the drawings from an architect to life, I knew from the very first phone call that I wanted use Marc and his team. In that first call he mentioned that he’d noticed that height of a shelf wouldn’t work for its intended purpose. In that moment I knew that the job would be in safe hands and that there wouldn’t be any unforeseen surprises! Marc worked very patiently with us to iron out the details of every item that they built for us. The living space in our house is open plan and it was important to have a coherent feel to everything as you move through the spaces. Marc and his team understood this perfectly and everything looks and like it was all part of the original concept of the house. All the furniture was built offsite and installed carefully by Special Branch. The build quality of everything we have is beautiful and it has all been installed perfectly. It has transformed our lives in terms of how we live in the house and now it’s possible to have space to store everything we want to, and we can display all our mementos. Finally, a special mention for the kitchen that they also built and installed for us. It’s my pride and joy; I really love it and it brings me so much pleasure every day. Martin and Isaac were great to have in the house for all the instals and they loved our cat so much he was definitely a bit sad when they weren’t coming in every day anymore!!

I don't often post reviews, but when the quality of work is this good and you meet the nicest craftsmen from start to finish, it would be an injustice not to. Marc and his team (Jonno, Martin & Isaac) - designed and installed a hallway cabinet (~2m) and bedroom wardrobe (~4m) for my Victorian flat in Denmark Villas. I had some very specific requirements (a hidden cat tunnel to a cat litter box area) - and Marc and Jonno had such patience going through numerous design iterations until we had the perfect solution. Everything was built offsite and then assembled onsite and fitted by Martin and Isaac. They were absolute perfectionists and nothing was too much trouble. Watching them create the scribes to fit a very old Victorian house (1 scribe took more than 2 hours to make) made me realise why you need professionals to do it. I cannot recommend SBF highly enough - it was an absolute pleasure working with them and you can sense that they are a very special company!

Marc got right into the heart of what we needed from the project and suggested various design tweaks which made both the assembly and the installation simpler. The project was completed in a very tight timescale and Marc went above and beyond the call of duty to assist us with delivery. As a company, Special Branch excel at accuracy, both in terms of communication and their physical workmanship. The fact that they're lovely guys is just a cherry on top!

Marc of Special Branch Furniture built our storage room/workshop on the side of our house in Hove. I have also seen some of his bespoke furniture projects. In all of his work, his attention to detail is second to none. He is efficient, clear with his communication, hugely trustworthy as well as having a great manner about him. He is impeccably conscientious, leaving the site clean and tidy. He understands your vision and works hard to design and build the project with a creative eye, precision and intelligence.

Marc (Special Branch Furniture) has done several big and small jobs in my house over the last 15 years or so - shelving, fitted furniture, cupboard design stair case and loft work. He is very skilled and creative. He is a perfectionist, and the work is a really high standard - things are designed and made to last, and they do!
