The Burrwood Collection

Craftsmanship made to order from a customer's own idea is the theme that runs through accounts of The Burrwood Collection, a bespoke furniture maker working in Coventry. Several buyers describe pieces produced from nothing more than a brief, including a display case built to hold a hundred fountain pens and fitted with drawers, its chosen timber finished to a standard that drew particular praise. A coffee table is described as carefully made and suited to the space it occupies, while a chopping board was received as a handsome, hard-wearing item expected to serve for years.

Several accounts note the care and attention evident in the finished work, and Jon is named as the person who guided the commission, making the process straightforward from the initial conversation through to delivery. The quality of the wood itself comes up alongside the skill shown in shaping and finishing it, with the results described as unique, handmade and worthy of comment by visitors who see them. Clients commissioning individual pieces of furniture and smaller wooden goods appear equally satisfied, and the same regard for detail, material selection and personal service is noted across the accounts.
