Lion Carpentry & Building

Lion Carpentry & Building is a small independent company based in Bristol, serving the city and surrounding area. It covers all aspects of carpentry, building and landscaping, and undertakes internal, external and structural works, both new and restorative. The company handles residential and commercial projects and welcomes all sizes of jobs. All timber used is FSC Certified, with green oak among the most popular choices. The company is fully insured.

Its main services are carpentry, building and landscaping, including a complete garden solution as an experienced landscaping contractor, with decking a speciality. It also provides freestanding and fitted furniture in any wood and any finish. After discussing requirements, it produces a no obligation quote inclusive of materials and labour. It can work from existing plans or create sketches, and can suggest suitably skilled local firms and tradespeople for services it does not provide. George is a named contact.

Reliability and a calm, well-organised approach run through the accounts of Lion Carpentry & Building's work in Bristol, where garden projects such as timber decking, flights of steps, gravel laying and block edging have been delivered alongside an interior kitchen fitting. More than one customer describes the communication as excellent from the first enquiry onwards, with George keeping them informed before work began and consulting them at each stage so that their own design ideas could be refined without pushing the budget off course.

Punctuality, politeness and honesty are mentioned repeatedly, and reviewers note that agreed schedules were met and costs stayed as quoted, including one larger build that ran over several weeks. Tidiness is a point that comes up often: the site was left clean each day and all waste removed at the end. George and Kim are named for the care and precision they brought to a complicated garden scheme that had to be carried through the house, and the standard of finish is described as superb throughout. The recurring theme is a hassle-free process with craftsmanship to match.
