MJL Carpentry & Construction

MJL Carpentry & Construction is a carpentry and joinery business based in Birmingham with over 10 years of experience in the building trade. It provides first fix carpentry, including joist installation, roofing carpentry, stud partitions, door frame installation and floorboard installation. The company also offers second fix carpentry, covering skirting and architrave installation, kitchen fitting, loft hatches, flooring and bespoke wardrobes.

Michael of MJL Carpentry & Construction is repeatedly described in feedback as a craftsman whose standard of finish leaves nothing to be desired, and the theme that emerges most strongly is his willingness to take on whatever the property requires. A number of customers describe roof replacements, guttering, soffits and fascias, alongside joinery such as fitting internal doors, skirting, architrave and a media wall, all completed with the same care.

A detail many reviews return to is his habit of handling the whole process, from sourcing timber and materials to coordinating scaffolding, so that nothing is left for the householder to organise. Reviewers also highlight his approach to problems: one mentions diagnosing a sagging window and installing a lintel before rebuilding and repointing the brickwork, while another recalls a stair banister repaired as a goodwill gesture.

Punctuality, tidy working and thorough clearing away afterwards are noted regularly, as is the clarity with which he explains each stage before starting. Birmingham customers mention that he listens, checks that every door and panel sits correctly, and returns for further jobs over several years. Communication is described as prompt and consistent from quotation through to completion. The recurring impression is of a reliable, hard-working tradesman whose finish on both structural and fitted work keeps households coming back.
