Recently, James completed three pieces of furniture for us: fitted bookshelves with cupboards and a radiator cover below, cupboards to fit under the breakfast-bar section of our kitchen island, and some non-standard doors for the boiler cupboard in our bathroom. James came round to measure up and discuss our requirements in order to provide a quote, with the designs being refined over whatsapp. He provided AI-renderings of each piece of furniture to allow us to visualize the finished product. The majority of the work was done off site and the furniture was installed around six weeks after the designs were agreed. The installation took three days during which he made sure to keep disruption to a minimum (both my wife and I work from home), cleaning up at the end of each day so each room was usable. We are very pleased with the finished pieces, with each designed to fit perfectly into the existing style of the rooms. The colour-matching of the painted section of the bookcase with the surrounding walls, and of the boiler cupboard doors with the other furniture in the bathroom, is excellent (the kitchen cupboards are unpainted oak). James is a real craftsman, with the work being of extremely high quality and offering good value for money, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for looking for bespoke wooden furniture.

Where to start? We had a large project that involved a 6x8m kitchen space. Having asked for inspirational and unusual designs from 5 of the usual big kitchen companies, we received 5 almost identical designs. At this point we were exasperated and felt let down not knowing where to turn. James was recommended to us by a friend who was delighted with her new kitchen. We were so impressed with the design and build quality that we decided to put our trust in James, we are so glad we did. From the very beginning the whole process with James was different. He would throw so many ideas at us until eventually our design began to take shape. He was so patient! Even as the cabinets were being built he would throw extra ideas at us and made suggestions that just worked. The finished kitchen is truly unique and we have had so many compliments from friends and tradesmen. Most importantly it works really well for our lifestyle and makes cooking and entertaining really enjoyable. We cannot recommend James enough for his professionalism, imagination, vision and of course his carpentry skills. Thank you so much James for making a difficult project so much less stressful.

We’ve had work done by James twice in the past two years. His work is outstanding with exemplary attention to detail. We had three people round to quote for the work we had in the living room and the first two said that what we wanted, couldn’t be done. James took on the challenge and surpassed our expectations. We didn’t have to think twice about getting him back to do our stairs. As an extra bonus, James is a very tidy worker and left our home spotless at the end of each working day.
