G.McK Joinery & Building Services

G.McK Joinery & Building Services is a small business that was set up in 2004 and is owned by Gary Mckillop. Based in Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, it operates from home. Gary Mckillop has worked as a joiner for many years. The business employs fully qualified craftsmen. It offers joinery and building services to both public and private clients. It serves customers in and around Newcastle upon Tyne and the North East, including private clients.

Newcastle upon Tyne-based joinery clients consistently highlight the standard of Gary's workmanship, with internal door installation a recurring subject. Several reviewers describe doors being measured, supplied and hung complete with handles and architrave, while others reference cupboard construction, kitchen updates involving worktops, sinks and appliances, and fence or gate repairs. A point made in several accounts is his meticulous method: tasks are handled carefully and the space left spotless once finished. Reliability and punctuality also feature, with customers noting he arrives when arranged and coordinates efficiently alongside other trades during refurbishments.

Communication is praised, especially his practice of discussing choices and giving practical guidance, such as saving existing skirting boards rather than fitting replacements. More than one review highlights his friendly, approachable character, calling him sociable and easy to have around the house. Pricing is described as fair, and evident pride in the outcome is noted whether the task is minor or a full kitchen refit. Gary is named throughout as the tradesman carrying out the work, and feedback reflects appreciation for both workmanship and the experience of having him on site.
