Exceptional craftsmanship and a pleasure to work with. Doug has completed three projects for us – two bespoke alcove wardrobes with drawers, a made-to-measure bathroom cupboard to house our boiler and products, and utility cupboard shelving – all finished to an outstanding standard. Beautifully made, delivered on time, and with meticulous attention to detail. We’re absolutely delighted and would highly recommend.
We are so so happy with the alcove units and bespoke wardrobes that Doug fitted! He was very helpful with the design, as the wall is diagonal and one alcove is bigger than the other it required a lot of skill, and they look perfect. The tongue and groove back was a nice touch. The wardrobes were adapted so we could have hanging space but also be able to keep our bedside tables where they were. And he had a great idea to maximise storage by incorporating a shoe cupboard in the old chimney breast. All of them colour matched to F&B school house white. Definitely recommend and would definitely want to use Doug’s services again in the future.
Hathaways Carpentry made us some bespoke fitted wardrobes in our Victorian house. Doug really understood what we were hoping to achieve, gave good advice and communicated really clearly throughout regarding timescales, pricing, and what was possible and functional. The wardrobes are really good quality and look great in the room. We would definitely contact Hathaways again if we need any other wardrobes in the future.

Highly delighted with our custom made media unit/wall unit. Beautifully crafted, painted and fitted. Also Doug made a wonderful job of a triple wardrobe with integrated drawers in our spare bedroom. We recommend Doug for a perfect job.
