S.Fraser Joiners & Preservation

S Fraser Joiners & Preservation is a privately owned carpentry and joinery business based in Glasgow. It specialises in rising damp, wet rot, dry rot, condensation control, woodworm eradication and basement waterproofing. The company has provided preservation and general joinery services for over 10 years. Stephen Fraser has over 30 years' on the tools experience.

It covers Glasgow, Strathclyde, Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and Central Scotland. It offers a 30 year guarantee. It carries out preservation work for landlords, letting agents, businesses and domestic customers. It is a proud sponsor of St Fillan’s Football Team. Services include building preservation, rising damp, wet/dry rot, condensation and all restoration work.

Damp repair, damp proofing and dry rot treatment form the core of the work described by customers of this Glasgow joiner, alongside wall reconstruction, new joists, flooring and decking. A point made in several accounts is the reliability of Stephen, who is named in most accounts and is described as turning up when he says he will and keeping clients informed as a job progresses. Reviewers often mention the clarity of his quotes, with costs agreed in advance and work completed within the stated budget.

Tidiness is another recurring theme: rubble is removed and properties are left clean, in one case decorating ready, while a collapsed ceiling in a period property was made safe with a supporting beam before repairs began. The quality of the finish is praised across decking, flooring and structural repairs, and several customers note that Stephen diagnosed the source of damp that had spread between two flats. His knowledge and patient manner, particularly when funds for larger jobs had to be raised, are highlighted as reasons clients return for further projects over several years. The standard of joinery and preservation work, from first visit to final clean-up, is the thread running through the feedback.
